Actually the answer by hit and trial for 3x0 to be divisible 8 ... value of x=2 also holds true as 320 is divisible by 8 but the 65320 is not divisible by 80. so basically the method under taken is wrong..it should be that 53x0 should be divisible by 16. for which the answer will come out as x =6 only.
Fault can be seen in your method like this.
if you have said that, as the number should be divisible by 2 and 5 last digit should be 0. which is true. Later on you have probably dropped 0 from 80 reducing it to 8. but at the same time you faulted by not removing 0 from 653x0 to 653x for the check on divisibility by 8. which probably would have given you the test of last digits (53x) to be divisible by 8 giving you the correct answer x=6. or you should have gone for the divisibility by 16 checking for the last 4 digits( as solved by me above).

In Question number 4 whose solution reads as
Then k*16.4+1*15.4 + (k+1)*15.8 (16.4-15.8)k = 15.8 - 15.4 k=0.4/0.6 = 2/3 so required ratio = 2:3
There should be an equal to rather than a "+" and the solution should read as.
Then k*16.4+1*15.4 = (k+1)*15.8 (16.4-15.8)k = 15.8 - 15.4 k=0.4/0.6 = 2/3 so required ratio = 2:3

Neither aircraft would be able to fly for multiple reasons, none of which has anything to do with gravity, which the moon does have, it is simply less than that of the earth because of the lower mass of the moon.
The aircraft would not be able to fly because there is no atmosphere on the moon. This would then not allow the internal combustion engines to operate since no oxygen = no combustion. Second, even if the motors could be made to run (bottled air) with no atmosphere, there is nothing for the rotor blades or propellers to create lift from so no lifting or forward movement could occur.

Milk:Water = 7:2
i.e milk is 567 ml and water is 162ml
now to make them equal in ratio i.e 1:1 we have to add water 567-162=405ml
now it will be 567:(162+405) = 567:567 = 1:1
this will make both the liquids equal in quantity

I appreciate your favor to stay at my site, read it, point out my mistakes and pay all out encouragements. I am obliged to your attention.
There are billions of sites world over. They have professional copywriters, experts in different fields, highly competitive programmers and many of them can afford to spend billions of dollars on their sites.
I am not any of them. I am working from my sitting room single handedly. I have a family with two school going kids. And no doubt I am a family man.
Then my full day job, its intricacies and problems. I live in Pakistan where social life is part of our daily routine.
I find one or more hours daily to spend on my websites... (not only this website please). English is a foreign language to me. Math has never been my subject throughout my academic career.
But it is not your problem at all. I am inviting you to my site. It is factually my problem to produce error free information to my visitors.

The answer should be 1:2,
let x be no of boys and let y be no of girls
then 16.4*x+15.4y=15.8x+15.8y
therefore x/y=1/2

You have not given the questions related to work and man and woman. Such type of questions are very important in any aptitude test. Otherwise your effort is really appreciate-able. Your sample test on Quantitative Aptitude includes lots of things in only 10 questions. But it can be improved if my suggestions are included.
Thank You!

The quantity of milk in the mixture is
7/(7+2) X 729
= 7/9 X 729
= 567mL
The quantity of water then shall be
729 - 567 = 162mL
If the final mixture would contain half milk and half water, there must be equal quantity of both.
So in order to make up for water, we'll need to add
567mL - 162mL
= 405mL of water

As it is stated that 729 ml of mixture containing milk and water in ratio of 7:2.
Solution:
Milk portion : 7/(7+2)*(729) = 567ml
Water portion : 2/(7+2) * (729) = 162ml
Difference of ml b/w milk n water = 405ml
So for making ration of 1:1 i.e half of both, 405ml water should be added so that it contain 567ml of milk and water each.

Comment that not enough information for Math #6 to be solved is in error.
Start at the end, last 15 minutes (at 45 minutes) require 20,000 lbs for payload but additional will be needed to carry weight of fuel. So 2 fuel rockets total needed at 45 minutes.
20,000 plus 20,000 fuel require 40,000 plus fuel needed to carry that load at 30 minutes to 45 minutes. Hence, 2 rockets plus 1 additional to carry the 2 fuel rockets plus 1 additional to carry the additional fuel rocket. So 4 fuel rockets needed from 30 minutes to 45 minutes.
Same logic applies from 15 minutes to 30 minutes (yielding 8 rockets) and from 0 minutes to 15 minutes (yielding 16 rockets).
Add 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 = the grand total of 30 rockets.

In this question the data is not sufficient.
Actually he forgot to mention the ratio at the last...that is 7:3.
the solution is right.
the correct question statement is--
729ml of mixture contains milk and water in the ratio 7:2 how much more water is to be added to get a new mixture containing milk and water in the ratio 7:3?

I think correct answer is 405. Following is the explanation for it. We know that 567 ml is milk and 162 is water..now out target is to reach 567 ml of water to fulfill the condition..so we must add 405 ml of water to the given mixture... therefore the correct answer is 405.

Question 6 in the math section is awful. It is indeterminable based on the information provided (or at least the way its worded).
a) You don't take into account that the fuel burns continuously and therefore the weight constantly decreases.
b) you don't indicate how much the rocket engine itself weighs - only that it contains 10000 lbs of fuel. Even if the rocket was one pound, you'd still require more rockets.
c) you don't indicate how much fuel each engine can hold, you only mention the rate at which it burns. Based on your answer, its implied that its 10,000, but it could hold more or less.

Unless I missed something, which is possible, question 6 in the first section does not give you the information necessary to make the assumptions shown in the answer. No where does it tell you that there are 16 rocket engines in the first stage.

This type of questions can be solved easily using AVERAGE-METHOD
Boys'average Girls'average
16.4 15.4
15.8 (Combined avg)
Cross diffrence: 0.4 0.6
Required ratio is: 0.4/0.6=2/3

729 ml of a mixture contains milk and water in ratio 7:2. How much of the water is to be added to get a new mixture containing half milk and half water?
given mixture = 729
ratio = 7:2
milk = 7*729/9 = 567
water = 162
so for half water and half milk
567milk = (162+405)water
so extra water = 405ml

But the answer is provided for the ration 7:3.
Can anybody clarify my question.

Solution of above question 10 is wrong because it has been wrongly taken as..
567/162+x=7/3
in question the ratio is given 7/2, while in answer it has been wrongly used as 7/3.
By using 7/2, we are getting 405 ml

Answer to question no 10 is 405. If we take 81 that not match with question .81+162=243. here 243<567.but in question said milk=water.here that condition only fulfill by 405.405+162=567.and after adding 405 with 729 we get 1134.and 1134/2=567.so milk=water.so we must take this answer.wrong answer must be changed it will helpful for reader.

mother's age is 56& Rita's age is 21.
after 4 years
mother's age is 60& Rita's age is 25.
