Oh also...

...the "tossing shapes into the air" question is completely nonsensical. A circle/square/rectangle/triangle are all two dimensional shapes. It is impossible to throw a two dimensional shape into three dimensional space... it just doesn't work like that!

excellent observation, the questions were not written by a smart person, but the smart person should still be able to come to the assumed answer.

the square would be a cube, triangle would be the pyramid, circle would be a ball... if they all had the same volume, then the object "thrown" into the air would fall with a rotating velocity. since a teardrop is the shape with the least resistance, the round ball is the next closest shape to least air resistance, as opposed to a flat surface which would have most resistance. then again, if the rectangular box was shaped like a spear, if it were to drop directly straight down vertically, then it would fall the fastest that shape would have least resistance. these questions are to be solved in 10 seconds so you have to make quick assumptions to what the author intended despite unclear and misleading wording of their question.

Yeah pretty much. I got it "wrong" because I assumed that the one with the least surface area would have the least drag.
